AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY.
Injection lipolysis is a minimally invasive method that specifically targets problem areas such as double chins, fat deposits on the jawline, inner thighs, hips, upper arms and stomach. This method is particularly effective for smaller fat deposits that remain stubborn despite exercise and a change in diet. The popular term "fat-away injection" has become established and stands for a gentle treatment.

In injection lipolysis, combinations of active ingredients consisting of phosphatidylcholine (PPC) and deoxycholic acid (DOC) are injected into the fatty tissue. Phosphatidylcholine is a natural substance that is produced in the human body, for example in the bile. This active ingredient has been used successfully to eliminate fat deposits for almost 30 years, particularly in South America. The treatment is used by many patients worldwide and shows consistently positive results.
After the active ingredient is injected into the fatty tissue, the fat cells dissolve within a certain radius around the injection site. The dissolved fat is excreted via the intestines, with some of it being metabolized in the liver. This method is particularly suitable for smaller areas of fat such as a double chin or hamster cheeks, but can also be used to remove lipomas, thereby avoiding surgical scars.
The injection is made directly into the fatty tissue under the skin. After the treatment, the material is gently massaged. It is medically advisable to carry out the injection lipolysis in several partial sessions. Depending on the size of the fat pad to be treated, we plan between two and four appointments at intervals of four to six weeks.
It is normal for the treated area to become red, swollen and slightly inflamed locally after injection lipolysis. These reactions indicate that the fatty tissue is being actively broken down. Bruising and a slight sensation of pain, comparable to muscle soreness, may occasionally occur. However, these side effects subside within a few days. The success of your injection lipolysis will gradually become visible, especially if you measure the circumference of the treated area before and after treatment. This will allow you to determine how effectively the fat-removal injection has reduced the volume of the pads.
